The earthquake in Chile luckily was not felt here in Ecuador. We are currently in Otovalo and got the news of the quake. We will be leaving for Quito later this afternoon. We have been updated that there is not any travel restrictions from the Quito or Lima airports. This may or may not be the case... the Lima airport is a major hub and we are anticipating delays. We will keep this updated as anything changes.

After reading and following your blog from the time you all headed out, I just figured out how to sign in to follow your trip. Thank you for your latest update. I've been worried about you all since 2:45 am when I first heard about the quake. Your blog has been such a joy to read. Everyone did a great job articulating their experiences. Bravo!
